Have a Magical Birthday - Papertrey Ink and Close to My Heart

Heloooo Friends! How has your week been thus far?
I hope you've had nothing but wonderful-ness surrounding you and your loved ones.

Our week has been lovely and the weather so-very-promising! I must admit, I'm tickled pink to think about the snow finally being gone. I may or may not have read somewhere recently that our little city saw more snow this previous month than ALL winter long! How crazy is that?

But all of that is about to change, and I am certain that all of these Spring colors I'm surrounding myself with will usher in the sunny skies in no time! And if you've been following this blog for some time, you'll know that will make one very, very happy girl :)

Okay, enough about weather now! Today I'm sharing a magical card!

I designed this little number for a very special and sweet little girl in our lives for her upcoming birthday. Oh how I love all the frilly bits and dreamy tones!

To start this card, I used a Rustic White cardstock base, and added a trimmed piece of delicate lacey Prima flower packaging. I still have a pile of these backing pieces saved up for special projects, and I thought the little see-through trim was perfect fit for this card. I also added a sparkly ribbon and a heart Confetti Garland from Papertrey Ink.

On the card base, I stamped several stars in Lilac Grace ink from PTI, using the sweetest unicorn stamp set, Little Dreamer, from Close to My Heart. I stamped the various sizes of stars, also stamping two soft Sweet Blush petal flowers from PTI's Rosie Posie set, and die-cutting a heart out of the center. I backed some sweet polka dotted paper under the heart, and then added two very pretty leaves from the Rosie Posie stamp set, in Sweet Blush and Lilac Grace.

I used the Little Dreamer set to stamp the whimsical sentiments, in Spring Rain ink.

I am soooo in love with this sweet stamp set. It's simply delightful!

To finish this card, I used Versamark ink and Ranger Fine Detail Embossing Powder for the feathers, which were stamped with an older stamp, but this new Golden Feather Altenew set would be so perfect for this and since it features outline stamps as well as wonderful inlay designs, it would be such a fun set to play with! To color the leaves, I used a mixture of Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, and Wilted Violet Distress Ink and I also added a few sweet sequins and iridescent rhinestones to the card to finish it off.

Thank you for joining me today!
