Developments in bird tracking. A talk by Mike Bailey
Instead of a general talk about bird ringing, I’ll be concentrating more on the development of the ways in which birds are tracked. Starting with the individually numbered metal rings through to colour rings, isotopic and genetic analysis, GPS tracking and various trapping methods as well as the larger ‘citizen science’ projects such as Birdtrack.
Date: Wednesday, 13th February 2019
Time: 19:30 - 21:30.
Venue: Westbury-on-Trym Methodist Church, Westbury Hill, Bristol BS9 3AA.
There is a very convenient, large (free) car park next to the Church.
Admission is also Free!
