Westbury-on-Trym:
Vicinity of Canford Lane cemetery - 1 Waxwing
' This lunchtime it was the call that made me look up and out of the window - as usual I had the window open - as it was "different", a sort of low gentle churring, rattling sound. I didn't get much time to check him out, maybe 20 seconds, but it was through binocs so a good clear view. The most distinctive feature was the crest, like it was having a bad hair day, and the bold black and white markings around the eye. The plumage was a pinky/buff/ brown ' (Andy Fraser)
